Kayapod® Time-Lapse Camera Mount
|| Brinno camera available separately
Your offshore adventures, captured on time-lapse video.
Imagine a full day of waterskiing, captured in stop-motion on your stern-mounted camera. With a Kayapod secured to your bow, each port of call can be memorialized.
The Kayapod Time-Lapse Camera Mount is designed exclusively for connection to the Brinno GardenWatchCam (sold separately, $139.00). The Brinno GardenWatchCam time-lapse camera is available worldwide from Amazon and other vendors.
The marriage of our high-performance Kayapod Time-Lapse Camera Mount and the award-winning Brinno GardenWatchCam time-lapse camera make this aquatic innovation possible.
The secret of the Kayapod is our patent-pending mast technology. A tension cable holds the mast upright while preventing it from snapping or accidentally detaching. It's built to work, and to last a lifetime.
What is time-lapse video?
Time-lapse video is the capture of images over an extended period of time — a day, a week, even months, and the automatic compliation of these images into a single movie. Instead of recording continuous video, like a home video camera, a time-lapse camera records a series of individual images, perhaps taking one picture every minute, and then compiles the images into a single, continuous movie.
The digital video is stored in universally recognizable AVI format on the Brinno's internal USB drive, which can be removed from its water resistant housing and plugged into your Mac or PC's USB port for upload and viewing.
The result is a lovely, entertaining movie that appears as if time has sped up.
