The Radpole™ Expedition Kit
The Radpole Expedition Kit is all you need in a single box!
The Radpole Expedition Kit includes our 31" arm (shown at left) including a 1.5-inch "C" ball lower coupler at the base, a marine-grade aluminum tube and a 1-inch "B" ball upper coupler at the top of the pole.
If you're interested in a slightly shorter pole, we offer a 25" and 16" option, with the Expedition Kit price adjusted accordingly. See "More Information" below to determine the best height for your particular use.
The Radpole "Expedition Kit" includes an array of rugged accessories: our premium submersible 360° navlight by Tektite Industries with a RAM adaptor, a RAM camera mount and a RAM video mount.
The Expedition Kit also includes an aluminum RAM Mounts base (shown at right) with a 1.5" ball. As mentioned earlier, you can substitute a RAM Mounts Hobie, Fish-On, Attwood or Scotty wedge adaptor instead of the aluminum ball at no additional charge.
And if you already have a RAM Mounts ball on your deck, you can purchase the Expedition Kit without a base — the price is adjusted accordingly.
The Expedition Kit includes all stainless steel hardware (shown at right) required for installation of the base including stainless steel bolts, washers and locknuts — even the drill bit matched for the stainless bolts, is included.
To mount your camera, the Expedition Kit includes a marine-grade aluminum RAM Mounts adaptor ball (at left, upper adaptor) with a standard 1/4"-20 tripod screw. We add an EPDM rubber pad on the adaptor's stud to protect your optical equipment from abrasion.
To mount your video camera or speedlight, the Expedition Kit also includes a high-strength composite RAM Mounts video adaptor with a wider base than the camera adaptor and a standard 1/4"-20 tripod screw (above left, lower adaptor). We add an SBR rubber pad on the adaptor's stud to protect your video equipment from abrasion.
The Radpole Expedition Kit includes a bright white LED Tektite Mark III light.
The Mark III is waterproof and submersible to 100 feet below sea level, operating for 200 hours on one set of 3 AAA batteries (included).
The virtually indestructible Mark III is used in our best-selling Kayalite™ and NavBeam™ products. For production of the Radpole, we've integrated the Mark III light with a high-strength composite adaptor that allows the Tektite to connect to the ball-and-socket coupler atop the pole.
