This
exciting product combines our popular nClamp with our Kayalu
Toughbar® RAM Mounts extension, creating a binocular mount of
unparalleled strength and versatility.
With this nClamp mount, you'll clamp, position
and
stabilize your binoculars in seconds... no tripod required! Best of all, you can
clamp your binoculars to virtually any object or surface — a tree branch,
car window, chair or fencepost.
The nClamp includes a
powerful USA-made steel "Pony" spring clamp and an assembly of RAM
Mounts components including two anodized aluminum balls and two high-strength
composite socket arms.
The nClamp NCL-1480-T also
includes our 8-inch (20 cm) stainless steel Toughbar extension, which itself is
constructed using two RAM Mounts marine-grade aluminum balls and a stainless
steel rod. If you'd prefer a 10-inch (25 cm) Toughbar® extension, select
the 10" model in the menu below.
The
binocular adaptor
atop this mount is compatible with all binoculars having a standard tripod-ready
1/4"-20 threaded hole on the bridge. We add an EPDM rubber bushing on the
adaptor's stud to
ensure a snug fit with your binoculars while protecting
the bridge from
unnecessary scratches. This adaptor can be easily unscrewed
from the mount for
use on a standard tripod.
If the binocular
adaptor is unscrewed and removed, this versatile mount includes a second 1/4"-20
stud so the entire mount can be used to host your video camera, digital camera,
speedlight or any other optical device accepting a standard tripod
screw.
The nClamp binocular mount
can
hold up to 3 lbs. (1.4 kg) of weight, easily managing large binoculars
as well as pocket binoculars.
Each nClamp includes a
marine-grade nylon-coated bungee
tether and a 2" plated-steel breech clip
(shown in image at right) giving you
the option to secure your nClamp to any fixed eyelet in the event that the
unit
is bumped or jarred. This flexible tether is provided to minimize any
risk of
damage to your valuable devices.
