Can a Kayalite be mounted or reassembled onto a pole?

The Kayalite can be adapted for greater height with the Kayalite Extension Kit, but we do not recommend DIY modification of a factory-assembled Kayalite.

For one, the Kayalite is engineered with a single marine-grade stainless steel bolt securing the mast, light and an internal cable guide tube. Bolt fins on the internal cable guide tube can be damaged if reassembled incorrectly.

Secondly, marine-grade, stainless steel locknuts used in the assembly of the Kayalite differ from general purpose nuts. They are manufactured for a single application, not repeated rethreading. We provide replacement nylon-insert locknuts with the Kayalite Extension Kit.
