Surfpole multipurpose portable camera mount, navigation light mount and fishing pole mount.

General Info about the Surfpole Assembly

We assemble the Surfpole's anodized aluminum components using our own fittings and pads to protect your your investment in top quality gear.

Surfpole uses RAM Mounts components including a ball-and-socket coupler arm.

The Surfpole is muscular yet slim, streamlined to minimize aerodynamic drag. Your camera, navigation light and mounted gear is fixed in place, exactly where it should be when paddling through wind or waves.

The aluminum coupler on top of the Surfpole is ready to accept any accessory sporting a RAM Mounts 1.5-inch "C" ball. Cradles and trays are available for iPad, Kindle, fishfinders and a host of other electronic devices. If you're not familiar with the RAM mounting system and catalog, visit RAM's website here.

On this coupler, in addition to the camera head and other "C" adaptors, you can mount a "C-to-B Adaptor" to secure your GPS or fishfinder unit, iPod or iPhone cradle, binocular adaptor, waterproof Aqua Box® or any other accessory with a RAM "B" ball at its base.

In other words, the Surfpole is entirely customizable, fully compatible with scores of device mounts available from RAM Mounting Systems and vendors worldwide.

The Surfpole is easily attached and detached to one or multiple locations on your craft. The Surfpole's arm has a lower ball-and-socket coupler which clamps and tightens to a fixed base.

The Surfpole's two ball-and-socket couplers, one at the top and other at the bottom of the pole, together allow you to adjust position the entire arm and its mounted device exactly where you want it.

The Surfpole's solid aluminum base itself is bolted down to your deck, providing strength to the coupler and pole. The round shape of the base is optimal for managing leveraged forces acting on the pole from any direction.

The base can be mounted on your kayak's afterdeck, canoe seat or directly on your boat's transom. The base requires only a 2.5" diameter with a small amount of clearance for the lower coupler to move freely and hand-tighten.

We include all the stainless steel bolts, washers and locknuts necessary for a quick installation of the Surfpole base. A steel drill bit precisely sized for the bolts is provided to streamline installation.

Or, as mentioned earlier, if you already have an existing RAM Mounts 1.5-inch "C" ball on your deck, you can purchase just a Surfpole arm without the base and mounting hardware.

The Surfpole is the only heavy-duty multipurpose mount designed for rapid deployment and portability from one point on deck to another — even between one kayak, sailboat, powerboat, sit-on-top, stand-up paddleboard, canoe, inflatable, dinghy and another.

You can even install multiple RAM Mounts bases on the same watercraft. Our catalog includes extra "base kits," with RAM's 1.5" aluminum ball and our stainless steel mounting hardware and drill bit. Our optional long-length stainless steel bolts are perfect for boaters mounting the base to marine plywood or other thick surface.
